Rugh will discusse the most infamous traitor in American History – a villain who sold his country for his own personal gain: Benedict Arnold. In this talk, we explore the lesser-known history of Arnold’s formative years and early relationships he made during the American Revolution. At the end, the question of why Benedict Arnold turned traitor will be answered and analyzed through a historical and contemporary lens of how politics and interpersonal relationships contributed to Arnold’s downfall.
